What about the Economy?
For months now, on Xanga, all I see is people talking about their weight, their relationships, or their personal issues...which is understandable. However, the topic of the economy and the recent recessions and such has not been mentioned for a while now...
Hence, I am going to tackle this issue.
First of all, this is the GREATEST Depression ever...and this is just the beginning. The bailouts of Wall Street by Washington, and on orders of Obama and his Administration continues to make things worse. I read on globalresearch.ca that the current unemployment rate in the United States is 20%...and more is coming in the wings...
Worse still...the housing bubble is just one bubble out of many...many that will crash, and when they do, it is the beginning of the end of greed capitalism and finance capital. The 2007 recession and the so-called bailouts are just delaying the inevitable of an entire systemic social and economic collapse as the United States and the rest of the world is now openly talking about a, "global currency" that will replace the United States dollar as a global reserve currency.
According to Gerald Celente, the founder of the Trend Research Institute, founded in the 1970s, the Institute has predicted the 2000s Dot-Com bubble crash, the 2001 recession, and even the 2007 to today's recession. His future predictions are ominous in that there will be martial law if the system is not changed, and that a third-party candidate will rise out of the ashes of this disaster...a Libertarian perhaps? Furthermore...predictions of war and global chaos is also forecasted as government becomes sprawling and ever more invasive of personal lives, and the set up of a corporate police state is being born as we read this.
Furthermore...the other bubbles that are coming or about to crash at any moment:
Bailout bubble - bailing out corporations will not work, no matter how hard you try to convince yourself. If big boys can be bailed out...what about the small guy? Isn't this like robbing Peter to pay Paul?
The Oil bubble - Goldman Sachs and the Federal Reserve are also in on this little game as once the oil price skyrockets, the entire American Oil Empire is going to collapse as people will find it impossible to pay - thanks to speculations, and a stealth bull market. How can anyone call this an ECONOMY?
Carbon tax bubble - that is right, what Al Gore and his globalist friends meant when they were scaring you was so that you can pay for your slavery
Commercial Real Estate bubble - more businesses are being ruined or out of business and have filed for bankruptsy...and this is just the beginning as more and more of the commerical sector collapses, the entire bubble is going to pop.
The dollar bubble - the value of the US dollar has plunged significantly when the bailouts started - the United States is so in debt to the Federal Reserve and the private central bankers that the value of the dollar has become equivalent to dog manure. That is right. Dog. Manure. The reason being that the dollar has no commodity to back it, and the private bankers are not about to give up their shadowy game of lending and the creation of worthless credit that has no real purpose in the real economy.
Finally...
Europe's bailout bubble which bailed out a handful of powerful corporations and financial institutions under Gordon Brown's supervision, hence, devaluing the value of the Euro. The Euro is also debt-based, which is, inevitably, going to crash just like the US Dollar.
The DEBT BUBBLE has gotten out of control. We cannot afford spending ourselves out of our troubles, because the world is very different from 1930. Now we have so many bubbles (look above)...that I can't even list them all out properly without double checking - that is right - THIS WHOLE THING IS FREAKING CHAOTIC.
A debt-based economy will not work, and when it crashes, it will plunge the world back into the dark ages, a dark age for worse than the one after the fall of Rome. A Great War will follow, the likes that humanity has never witnessed, and out of that - we can make a choice - to be free, and to take responsibility for ourselves, and our fellow man without the interference of government, the state, and massive corporation conglomerates, or we can be slaves to the corporations, the olympic financial institutions, and a military-corporate police state. Nations will be obsolete, and all rights will diminish...and humans - equivalent to cattle.
The Financial Crisis is just the tip of the iceberg as the world is going to come crashing down unless, We the People do something about it now. Wake up or continue sleeping in the illusion of make-believe fantasies.
What would you do when the entire global financial system collapses?

Shhhh! Be vewwy vewwy qwiet. (as Elmer Fudd used to say)
An economy works based on trust. People accept dollars everywhere throughout the world. But why? Dollars are just IOU's issued by Uncle Sam. They aren't backed up by gold or anything. If the world switches to some other currency it would be very bad for the U.S.
Please pretend that things are getting better. Then everyone will keep on trying to get the American Dream for themselves. They'll keep on working hard trying to be productive and assuming that any money they put away in the bank will be secure, and anything they invest in business will see a handsome return. But all this talk of bubbles? You make the entire U.S. sound like one giant ponzi scheme -- and you didn't even mention the problem with Social Security having made promises that it knows it cannot keep.
If anyone believes your talk of dark ages and a police state, they'll take their money out and buy weapons or basic tools that will have lasting value, instead of big screen TVs and fancy vacations.
Honestly, the system all depends on trust. If you promote distrust you may end up with self-fulfilling prophecies. When people react based on fear they'll quit doing what society needs to stay stable, and they'll start worrying every man for himself.
You know the old story about two men and a bear. The one man says to his buddy, "Why are you running? You know we can't outrun the bear." The other guy says, "I don't have to outrun the bear. I only have to outrun you." Don't warn everyone. Instead you need to make a post about your weight, your relationships, and your personal issues so everyone stays distracted. Just like ancient Rome before the barbarians took over -- focus on the bread and circuses. Look to today & to entertainment. Don't worry too much about the future.
So Shhhh! Be vewwy vewwy qwiet.
