  • Evacuate the Dance Floor - Sexiest Dance Song Forever

Cascada - Evacuate the Dance Floor

    Turn up the music
Let's get out on the floor
    I like to move it
Come and give me some more
    Watch me gettin' physical
    Out of control
    There's people watchin' me
    I never miss a beat

    Steal the night
    Kill the lights
    Feel it under your skin
    Time is right
    Keep it tight
    Cause it's pulling you in
    Wrap it up
Can't stop cause it feels like an overdose
    (Feels like an overdose)

    Oh, oh, evacuate the dancefloor
Oh, oh, I'm infected by the sound
Oh, oh, stop, this beat is killing me
[Hey, Dr.DJ let the music take me underground]

    Everybody in the club
    Evacuate the dancefloor
Oh, oh, I'm infected by the sound
    Everybody in the club
Stop, this beat is killing me
[Hey, Dr.DJ come burn this place right down to the ground]

    My body's aching
    System overload
    Temperatures rising
    I'm about to explode
Watch me I'm intoxicating taking the show
    It's got me hypnotized
    Everybody step aside

    Steal the night
    Kill the lights
    Feel it under your skin
    Time is right
    Keep it tight
    Cause it's pulling you in
    Wrap it up
Can't stop cause it feels like an overdose
    (Feels like an overdose)

    Oh, oh, evacuate the dancefloor
Oh, oh, I'm infected by the sound
Oh, oh, stop, this beat is killing me
[Hey, Dr.DJ let the music take me underground]

    Everybody in the club
    Evacuate the dancefloor
Oh, oh, I'm infected by the sound
    Everybody in the club
Stop, this beat is killing me
[Hey, Dr.DJ come burn this place right down to the ground]

    Come on and evacuate
Feel the club is heating up
    Move on and accelerate
    Push it to the top
    Come on and evacuate
Feel the club is heating up
    Move on and accelerate
You don't have to be afraid

Now guess who's back with a brand new track
That got everybody in the club going mad
    So everybody in the back
Get your back up on the wall and just shake that thang
Go crazy, yo lady, yo baby
Let me see you wreck that thang
And drop it down low, low
Let me see you take it to the dancefloor, yo

    Everybody in the club
    Evacuate the dancefloor
    Everybody in the club
    I'm infected by the sound
    Everybody in the club
Stop, this beat is killing me
[Hey Dr.DJ let the music take me underground]

    Oh, oh, evacuate the dancefloor
Oh, oh, I'm infected by the sound
Oh, oh, stop, this beat is killing me
[Hey, Dr.DJ let the music take me underground]

    Everybody in the club
    Evacuate the dancefloor
Oh, oh, I'm infected by the sound
    Everybody in the club
Stop, this beat is killing me
[Hey, Dr.DJ come burn this place right down to the ground]

Now, I love the above song above...it is so...how do you say it? Jittery and fun...even though the dance floor is being evacuated. First of all, I have never really danced with a girl..."properly." I danced with a girl - once...but I don't consider that one as "dancing" because I didn't really know her that well...and plus...it was when I was in junior high...so I was STUPID for trying.

I have never been a party goer, and to me...parties are worth doing because even though I am a nerd, I am open to social engagements that are not too rowdy and out of control. It would be interesting perhaps to see a party queen come out one day randomly...but that is really not my thing. I just want to try the atmosphere. I am a late learner...I know.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks

  • FYI I really don't think that there is any need to evacuate a dance floor under such circumstances: I really don't think sound can cause "infections" such that the "beat kills" the people by causing them to "explode".  I've heard of spontaneous human combustion and I remember in Dune that at the beginning of the story Paul's father was working on some kind of sound weapons, but I forget the other details.  Still I doubt that anyone would actually evacuate the dance floor during that song.

I know from your recent post that you're not a huge lover of Halloween.  That is a pity.  I think Halloween parties present interesting opportunities to socialise.  You can dress up as some interesting character.  This gives you some opportunities to "break the ice" talking about each other's costumes.  Or if you like you can pretend to be your character by saying lines that they would say.  This might take some pressure off you -- I mean, if you thought that you said the wrong thing, it wouldn't be you saying stupid or weird things, it would be your character -- so blame the character.

Another option is to go to concerts of music groups that you like.  You can just listen to the music.  You can make small talk about how crowded it is, or how hot it is, or how cool the first song was, or whatever.  Or you can just observe other people and "take it all in."

I don't dance -- I have trouble following unfamiliar beats and am fairly uncoordinated.  However, I do move some to music that I like.

Mainly I think it's important to relax, go, be friendly, have fun, and not worry that you might not fit in or might do something stupid.  Most likely there are a bunch of other people afraid that they'll screw up somehow.  If you're nervous about talking to people, look for other people on the edges who seem alone and try to talk to one of them.  They're probably just as nervous and will be glad that someone talked to them.
